ARRIVAL OF THE MERLIN.
The schooner Merlin, Captain Yates, arrived in harbour from the Fijis this morning. She left on the 31st ultimo, and had contrary winds throughout-. The following are the passengers : Mrs. Segar and child, Miss Isaacs, Mr. and Mrs. Summer and three children, Mrs. Kearns, Mr. Byrne.
The Eleanor cleared for Newcastle, New South Wales, in ballast
The cutter Hero arrived in harbour this morning from Tauranga via Wanganiata, bringing G tons pirn, 10 bales hay, and 6 passengers.' The Hero will bail again toinorro'iv evening. The p.s. Duke of Edinburgh will call at the Hot Springs during her weekly trips to and from Wanoarei.
