MOHI V. CRAIG.—SERIOUS AFFRAY.
It would appear that the great case of Mohi v. Craig is not destined yet to subside into obscurity, and the matter having been fought out at law, now eems to be becoming a question of vis et anna. On the 30th ult. a serious collision took place at the Wangapoua Mills, between the gangs of men respectively employed by Harris and Craig. It appears that Ci aig had ordered his men to take the logs which they had jacked oil' the beach. They accordingly went alongside of Harris and his raft, who ordered his mob to break up Craig's boats. This they did, also throwing some of Craig's men off Uie raft. In the souffle, one of OiUi[r'a men was stabbed with a pike-pole iv tUo chest, j», fc below the heart. Mr. Gibbon's wtis in charge -f Craig's men at the time. The wound inflicted was so Bevere that the man is not expected to hvo. Dr. Pay no from Coromandel, lias been senr. over o- op g the ma , and information has been supplied to the police.
