VOLUNTEER MATTERS.
Yestkbday evening there was a parade in the Drill-shed, Princes-strest, of No. 1 Company A.R.V, Captain' Ho well ; Victoria Company A.R. V, Captain Derrom ; Ilobson Company A.R.V., Captain Burns j and No. 1 Company A.N.V., Captain Leßoy. The whole of the companies mustered strongly, and were put through battalion evolutions by Capt. Derrom, who was in command. A mnrked improvement was noticeable in the manner in which the movements were performed. A few more practices of a like nature will make this brigade, if we may so term it, quite presentable. After the parade the companies marched out through the principal streets of the town, headed by the drum and fife band of thefto. 1 Company A.N.V.
The Eifle Brigade met at six o'clock in the Albert Barracks, and were put through battalion movements.
The monthly inspection of the Auckland Troop Koyal Cavalry Volunteers will tiko place in the Albert Barracks, at 4 o'clock, to-morrow afternoon.
