October 21. JVTr. VoGfL announced that he would make a statement as to the Brogden contracts on Tuesday. It is rumoured that the contracts will be set aside.
October 23.
At a large meeting of working men, resolutions were passed condemnatory uf tho Diuyiltsii cuntraote.
Mr. Kinross, of Napier, died here to-day.
An organisation in opposition to Grreville and Co. is being formed. A number of journals are united in support of it.
