Stray Animals. —Mary Bun-ell, for committing a Bre.'.ch of the Municipal Corporation Act, by allowing three goats to wander in a public street, wiia fined live shillings and costs. James itoiian, accused of allowing iwo C')W3 to stray on the Military Reserve, was remanded till Monday, on account of the übsenco of Mr. Shoehan, who hud been retained for the d«fcnee.—Thomas Ward, for allowing a horse to wander on the Karungahape Koad, was fined ten shillings and coslg. —Charles GHeeson, for a similiar offence, was fined five shillings and costs, ii. being a first olFence.
Assault.—Edward Carroll was charged by William Jones, with ftriking him with his cienche.l ii>t and knocking him down.—Mr. Joy appeared for the defence —The affair appealed to have ai'isen out of a row at a " wakd," which terminated in a general fight. —On the application of Air. Joy, the case vvus adjourned lill Monday, in order that a crossinlormation might be laid. Lunatic— A female lunatic was, on the evidence of IJrs. Kenderdine and Lee, sent to the Lunatic Asylum. :
