■WBLLI^Mn. October 21. McLeod has apologised to Mackay, but attacked Gillies. McLean viudicated Mackay. The Married Woman's Property Bill-was passed in committee. The Civil Service Amendment Bill has been read a second time. The bill to admit Smythies to the bar lias passed through ? the final Btages, by a majority of 30 to 9. Reader Wood's motion for the defence of out-settlers has been withdrawn.
