POLICE COURT.— Thursday.
[Before Thomas Beck-ham, Esq., E.M.] Diujnkenmess.—Two men were fined for this offence. Dbpnk and Disorderly.—George Bray was charged with this off/nee, and was ordered to pay a fine of 20s and costs. Breach oi? Municipal Police Act.— George Bray was further oh urged with furiously driving a horae and cart through a public thoroughfare.—Mr. Joy appeared for him ; and the apprehending constable having been examined, described the occurrence, which it appeared resulted from the defendant having imbibed rather more fiery liquor than was good for him.—He was fined 20s and costs, and dismissed with a strong caution. Vag-hant Act.—Jemima Morgan and Mary Storey were charged with having no visible means of support. —From the evidence of Detectives Jeffery and Ternahan, it appeared that defendants'were common prostitutes. — The Court ordered each to be imprisoned for six weeks with hard labor.
