A gen,eba_ meietinG. of the members.of the Auckland Rowing .Club was held at the Club Room, Thames Hotel, last evening.^-Major Heaphy in the chair. There was an unusually large attendance of, members. , After some preliminary '/matters had been arranged, the meeting proceeded. t° the election, of officers fqr tlie pusuing year, with, the, following result: —Patron, His Excellency the Governor j Vice-Patron, His Honor the Superintendent j President, Major Heaphy; Captain, Mr. D.Oxley; Treasurer, Mr. T. Henderson, jun.; Hon. Secretary,-Mi*. G. H. Fletcher. Committee: Messrs. H. Henderson, J. Marshall,-^. E; Isaacs, A. H. Nathan, H. Ellis, J. Copland, and J. Oxley. Severaliiew mem* bers were then proposed, after wbiGh it was decided that the season should - open on Monday next. ; It was also resolved that the Athletic Sports>sh{juld'be held in the Albert Barracks'on the 9th November, and a committee was appointed to arrange matters.
