So strong interest waa manifested in the pictures, that Mr. Wayte has temporarily taken the place in Shortland-street recently vacated by Mr,: Canning, where the collection will be on view on Monday, and after, ivlosfc of thepictures are on a large scale, and are really works of art; and sooae of them are exquisitely, beautiful. Two of them have been, cTuiin^ to-day, exhibited in Mr. Wayte's windows, aud continued to' attract large numbers of ob ?rvers, who expressed tlicir warm admiration of the beautiful tinting, and the faithfulness to nature of~tW; landscaped. The collection is a very largo oi.e, and though some must be regarded as preeminently gems, the pictures —every oj:c of thorn—are singularly attractive.
