Evening Star Office, Friday afternoon
Messrs. L D. Nathan and Co. held a trade sale of wines, spirits, &c. (in bond) at theii stores, to-day. There whs a good attendance, and the following are the quotations :—Australian wine (Riesling), 7s per dozen, with all faults; ditto Madeira, Gs per dozen; ditto Chateau la Rose, 8s ; pale brandy, in quarter-casks, 4s per gallon ; ditto dark, ditto, 2s 6d ; sherry, in quarter-casks, 2s 6d, ditto; port, ditto, 2s 6d ; champagne1 (Carte Blanche), 26s perdoz.; ginger wine (Walker's), 15s per case; ditto Bernard's ditto, 10s per case ; Kartell's pale brandy, 7s 3d per gallon -, SWi B3 cigar 3, 15s per 1000 ; Havannahs ditto (Tip Top), 40s ditto.
Messrs. C. Arthur and Son held a sale 0: fvuit, ex Alice Cameron, at their inavt to-day. The following are the prices :— Apples, 2\A to 2^d ; oranges, 8s 9d to 10a 3d -, oranges, Navel, 12s Gd; lemons, 8s 6d.
