NARROW ESCAPE FROM FIRE.

We are informed tlvit. (lie new house, in course of erection by Mr. J. C. Morrin, in Pitt-street, had a narrow escape of being destroyed by Bro yesterday evening. About half-past cix o'clock Mr. Williams, who resides on the opposite side of the road, noticed symptoms of fire, and running over to see what wtia the matter, was in lime to extinguish with a bucket of water what would in a few minutes have resulted in tho destruction of the house. The origin of the fire seems to have been in a heap of shavings or rubbish left in the unfinished building.
