Among the passengers we notice the names of Mr.-and Mrs. Hancock," Mr. and Mrs. Proudo, and several other old colonists. The brings a cargo of general merchandise, also two prize bulls and heifers, and a.quantity..of vellowhammersfor the Acclimatisation Society. Four hares were shipped on board, but only two have survived tho passage, Thcss wili also be forwarded to the grounds of the Aix'liujatieaticn Society. Nothing remarkable has occurred during the passage. The ship took her final departure on the 20th June, and was off (the coast of N.ew.Zea,l;),:ud on Wednesday^ the' 6th'irißt:tnt. :;Hei;e1".5.1i0 was met with strong gales and "contrary winds, being unable to round the North Capo till Monday. The time occupied from land to land was 79 days, and from Gravosend into port 103 days.
'ilia Qojintess left Gh-aveaend ou the 14th Juno,' at 3 p.m., and passed through the Downs on the following morning. Had light variable winds in the Channel to Torbay, where wo landed the pilot on Sunday, the •18th ; thence had strong "W.S.W. winds until Tuesday, the 20th, when the- wind veered to N.W. At this time the ship was twenty miles on the south of the Eddystone. Crossed ihajJJSouthern tropic on the 27th j passed the meridian of Greenwich on the 7th August, in 39 deg. S., and the Cape on ttie 18th in 42 deg. 8. At this time the weather was very fine. Ban the casting down betweon 42 deg. and 44 deg. On the 16th, in longitude 91, deg. X., was hovotoo for 22 hours, with a very: heavy gale from the N.W. to S.W., and on the 6th of Sept., in longitude 139 dcg. E., again hove-too for 10 hours, and rounded Tasmania on the night of the Bth in another cyclone gale., Carried westerly windi till Wednesday.^Jien she was within 300 nnl«s of the Three'Ktngs ; tho wind then shifted to E.S.E. and continued light till Sunday, whon tlfe bre<s»e gradually increased to a gale, on Tuesday blowing terrific, and the vessei drifted to within about ICO miles of Norfolk Island.
