The following is a copy of a telegram received from the manager:—

"9.33 a.m.

" The water has abated considerably, and with one pump; wo have lowered it in the shaft, in the Jast 12 hours, 12 feet. Ihe second pump will be ready to wdrk to-day. We have lodged from general erusliings for last week —from our own battery, 742 ounces ; Tararu, 530 ounces. No other change in the mine."
