Geahamstown, 3 p.m. Cal-eboniak.—There is an improvement iv the mine to-day; especially the run towards Tookeys, which is showing splendid stone. I should not be surprised if something very good ig reported from the lower level in a few days. The Ttveedside have crushed 10 tons, aud the result is 8£ ozs. The Queen of Beauty have lodged for the fortnight 61 ozs. The Oriental have taken out some good stone, bearing gold. There is auother quarrel with the Upper Thames natives. They have threatened to murder a settler named Morgan for cutting firewood. Mr. Maekay is |$ Ohinemari arranging for the purchase of land for the Provincial Government. Mr. Puckey is also there,arranging, if possible, for the telegraph route.
