PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
Saturday night was set apart for a benefit for tlie minstrels, and the result was a fair attendance, "Black Eyed Snsari" boing porforfirmed. Mr. Ryan, as William, scarcely looked the jovial sou 113 we should have wished ; wo have seen Mr. Ryan to belter advantage. Mr. Hyde?, as usual, convulsed his audience with his comicalities. Mr. Jones was not in hia right element, we think William more in his line. Mrs. Hill was, of course, Susan, and when we say she played in tier usual conscientious and painstaking manner, our renders will understand. she played well. Mrs. B. N. Jones made n lvely Dolly. The rest of the characters were ably supported. Following which came a dance by Miss Allnutte, t'Onoluding with minstrels' performance. To-night the enterprising manager has provided another treat for his patrons, in the first appearance of Miss Clara Slepbenson, This young lady arrived with Mr. Burford per Hero. The Australian papers speak very highly of her as a comdinn, ex oiling, we aiv told, in characters of the Celeste school. She comes to us wilh a firsl-claßs reputation as an artiste of no mean pretensions, The piece chosen for to-night, "TueSea of Ije," will give an excellent opportunity for a display of those talonts so highly spoken of. Tho pieco will be placed on the stngo in the same manner which has characterized this management. No ddubt there will be a crowded house.
