Septkmuer 13.—Mr. Vogel announced that for tho next four months Webb's steamers would proceed from Auckland to Sydney, Mr. Webb arranging for tho coastfil service and meeting at the rate of £10,000 a year less, and to bo. ready at the,expiration of that t-irno to continue the contract service. The Government hud written to all Iho Australian Governments offering to meet them in using the service free of cost during lour months. ~ .
September 1-I.— The Motueka Electi6n Comaiittee has adjourno'i to Monday next, to enable Mr. Trnvors to cull witnesses to prove Toinlinson's right to be on the roll, tho mistake of a wrong qualification being attached to his name being that of tho Registration Officer i' and also to prove that on elector had voted for Parker nt the Lower Moutere, aftor four o'clock. Mr. Travers offered no evidence in re Ilagnu, but will uddrcis the committee on the subject.
