ACCIDENT IN CHAPEL-STREET.
J.ESTEKDAY evening a young man named Crabtree, residing at Newton, began to play with Mr. G-. Thorogood's gingerboer machine. He was warned of his danger by the person in charge, but took no notice of the warning, when suddenly his left hand was caught in the whorl and fearfully mutilated. He was conveyed home, and lies in a dangerous state It is expected that he will lose all the lingers of his lumd.
