ARRIVAL OF THE HERO.
■Ihe favourite and powerful steanier Hero, Captain T. Logan, arrived in harbour on Saturday night, after another splendid passage from Sydney of five days. She brings a rery heavy cargo, and OTer 70 passengers. She is also the beam of the English mail via Suez. We hart again, to acknowledge our indebtedness to Mr. Cogswell, purser, for our files and other favours. , The Hero left Sydney and cleared the heads at 6 p.m. on the 4th instant, passed the North Cape at 6.15 »•»• on the 9th, and ar-
rived iv Auckland harbour at 11.45 p.m. same day. On the passage acvosa the Hero experienced moderate south-east and easterly winds, until the evening of the 7th ; and since then moderate north-east and northerly wittds until arrival in port, fine weather having'iprevniled throughout.
