James Paterson, s.s., from Sydney. Go-Ahead, s.s., from Taranaki. Hero, s.s., from Sydney Countess of ivintore, ship, from Briton, barque, from Newcastle. Bella Mary, barque, from Hobart Town Alice Cameron, barque, from Sydney. Moa, brig, from Sydney. Our Hope, brig, from Melbourne.
The barque Novelty sailed for Sydney last night. During the strong S.W. breeze this morning the brig Gazelle dragged her anchor, and drifted very close to the barque Robert.
The barque Alice has landed the greater portion of her cargo for Auckland, and will sail for Lyttelton about the 2nd proximo. There is a probability of her returning to this port and filling up for New York. The Alice is one of the finest vessels that has visited our port, and we should be glad to see her a regular trader between here and London. She has excellent accommodation for cabin passengers, hor saloon being fitted up with the most recent improvements.
The s.s. Wellington left the Manukau yesterday morning, with the following passengers : Mr. C. Watt, Mr. Bell, Miss Westbrook, Mr. Gwynne, Mr. W. Turner, Mr. Matthews, Mr. Alexander, Mrs. Edwards, Miss Gallagher, Mr. Long, Captain Edwin, Mr. Bat.t, Mrs. Roberts, Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Lowe, Mr. Coutts, Captain Clark, Mr. Atkin, Mr. and Mrs. Grote, Mr. Brown, and five in the steerage.
