SPECIAL MEETING OF JUSTICES.
In accordance with a letter from from the -Honorable tho Colonial Secretary notifying the acceptance of the resignation of James O'Neill, E=q , of the office of Chairman of Petty Sessions in Auckland, a special meeting' of Jastioes was called for to-day, in] order to nominate his successor. Tho following gentlemen attended, namely :—Messrs. P. A. Philips (Mayor), W. 0. Dulcly, G-. B.Owen, R. R Porter, - T.- Ritchie, G- M. Mitfprd, S. Kernpthorne, C. Olway, Joseph May, 'and J. M. Dargaville ; and on the motion of;W. C. Daldy, Jfisq., seconded by Or. U. Oweii, .Esq., Joseph May, Esq., was unanimously oloofced Chairman for the remainder of the current year.
