A meeting of electors favorable to the return of Mr., Williamson po the vacant seat fdr" City West was held last evening, at the New Zealand Insurance Compahyi's,..building. There was a numerous attendance, and Mr. J. Cadman was: Toted., toithe: cWiiftJ 'ili^hl^tpatisfactory accounts were received from several gentlemen present,ot tho success with which they had met in canvassing' the electorate. A deputation was elected frpui the, mttjubora of the committee to wait on'Mr.'WililanisoYi and present him with a requisition to stand, and proposers and seconders wei-e appointed for ,tlie |( npmi^atiou day. , It was, arr^a^cd^that the deputation should present the requisition at half-past two o'clock on Saturday.
