THE AMERICAN EXCELSIOR MINSTRES.
,The attendance at tlib City Hall yesterday evening was far better than could have been expected from the ;appearance of1 the benches when the performance commenced. As usual in this city, procrastination was, the order of the day, and the audience kept dropping in for half an ''hour after eight o'clock, to the great annoyance of those who had taken their seats in good time, and wished to hear and enjoy the melodies of the Minstrels. These were exceedingly well rendered, and the comical parts of the fbrmance, as usual, provocative of irrepressible mirth. Among the pieces specially deserving,of notice, we may particularize songs by Mr. Clarke, tenor, and Mr. Amery, bass; a violin solo by Mr. Hermann.;: and the; extraordinary dances by Mr. O'Brian. Wo Understand that the company is about to visit the I'hames next week, so that all lovers of this kind of entertainment ought to take advauta h;tof the two evenings still remaining.
