[advertisement.] To the Editor of the Morning News, per favor of Evening Stab. Sir, —I beg to contradict a statement made in the Morning News with regard to Martha Nicholson. She k not au old offender in tbe Police Court; it was her first offence in that Court. It was spite of Mrs. Lamb towards her mother. Had the case gone, there was a respectable witness in Court to prove that the child had no boots. But Mra. Lamb beat the child, and she was afraid that the mother would bring her before Court. That is the reason that Mrs. Lamb charged the child with stealing the boots.—l am, &c, I'a.ik Play.
