Evening Stab Office, Tuesday afternoon. JHfessrs. Samuel Cochrane and Son sold at their mart, today, 650 bags of wheat, ex Novelty, from Lyttelton, at from 5s to 6s per bushel. Mr. G. W. Binney held an extensive sale to-day, at the Corn Exchange, of grooeries, 4c., which were offered to close the accounts of Messrsi W. J. Vance and Co., who are about to close their partnership. There was a very good attendance, and the prices realised were fair, considering the state of. the market. The sale will be continued to-morrow.
