Mails will close as under :— For Thames, this day, at 5.30 p.m., and to-morrow, at 9.30 a.m. For Tauranga, etc., per Tauranga, this day, at 4 p.m. For Fiji, per Merlin, to-morrow, at 9 a.m. For Jlongonui, per Ivanhoe, on Monday, 21st inst., at 3 p.m. For Taranaki and the Southern Provinces, per s.s. Phcebe, on Wednesday, 23rd inst., at 10 a.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from the Nelson station will be received at this office till 10.80, and at Onehunga till 11.30 a.m. S. B. Biss, Chief Postmaster.
