Ems, July 9.—Tho Emperor William arrived here to-day, and was received with enthusiastic rejoicing by the people. To-night tho city is ihuminated in his honor.
PiitiS, July o.—Tho Gitit'oia says several Legitimists will resign their seats in tho Assembly.
Gambetta has written a letter rejoicing over tl«: result of the elections, urging moderation and patience.
The Assembly, by a rote of 483 to 5, passed a bill imposing additional taxes on colonial produce.
The elections for Paris will bo hold on the 2Glh instant.
All tho lists of eandidntes voted for by the army were headed with GUmbeUa's name.
Pahis, July 9.—The French ship Severenco was totally wrecked on tho coast of the Cape of Good tiope ; all on board and a large number of passengers wore lost. Oho hundred and fifty bodies were washed ashore.
