PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.

We perceive by the advertisement of this fashionable place of amusement that Friday evening is a grand vice-regal command night, when His Excellency Sir George Bowen, G.C.M.G., has intimated to the management ho will honor the theatre with -his presence, and has especially commanded the brilliant comedy of " She Stoops to Conquer," and the comedietta of " A Handsome Husband." "We are pleased to see that this establishment is now firmly taking (as it justly deserves) a very first-class place in the estimation of our play-going public, tli3 best proof of which is the full attendance, nightly, in the once deserted dress circle. We have always advocated the sterling comedies of the British drama against transporting scnsationalities, and are glad to see the management has adopted our idea and carried out successfully, both commercially aud amuseamcntlg (our own). — Proof! His Excellency's frequent attendance at the theatre, and commanding one of tho best of the old comedies — which presented, as it will be, with Mr. Hoskins and Miss Colville (now in the fourth week of their engagement) in the principal characters, aided by the full strength of. tho company—must prove, without doubt, one of the most enjoyable of evenings. To-night " Marplot, tho Busybody" and "Cool as a Cucumber " are tho pieces de resistance, when we anticipate a crowded house. The change of pieces is owing to His Excellency's desire to see " She Stoops to Conquer."
