TOOKEY'S TRIBUTE
Grahamstown, 2 p.m. The sale of the Caledonian tailings took place this morniug, by Mr. O'Keeffe. The sale was largely attended, and IGSO tons realised _6MIO.
This morning 12 cwt. of rich specimens were brought up. The blocks are very large, aud the gold visible throughout. Every part of the mine is looking splendid, and the prospects
aro better than ever,
The next dividend will be a large one, as they have over three tons of specimens to put through.
The Otago will have to drive another 100 feet before there is any chance of striking the Caledonian lode.
Tookey'a (Wood's) tributers have completed a crushing of 50 tons, which has giv^n 120 ounces.
The North Devon crushed 60 tons, the result being 55 ounces.
