Duiung last night the Caledonian brought up over a ton of rich specimens, making, with what was taken out yesterday, nearly two tons oh hand. The main , reef is looking splendid, and another heavy haul may be expected this afternoon. The Nonpareil continues to take out specimens ; a nice lot was brought up this morning. The Twenty-third of June have taken out some good specimens this
morning. The Golden Age tributers have crushed eighteen tons, the result being thirty-two ounces. The boys Quinn and Jones, brought up at the Police Court this morning, for stealing two bags tailings from the Caledonian battery, have been romanded for a week, in order to ascertain the value of gold. The Whau have crushed 57 tons, the result being IG4 ounces. They have still in hand one cwt. of picked stuff to be crushed.
