We permitted the individual who has charge of our editorial spirit cupboard to visit the office of the Crown Distillery and report on ths quality of tlte local manufacture. Wo can confidently rely on his judgment from past experience, as our very best bottles of editorial presents have, somehow, always mysteriously disappeared under his discriminating care., and, therefore, with good authority, we are able to state that the whiskey is really excellent, of a greatly improved character (from the time which it has now been stored in the vaults of the distillery), and from the low price at which it is offered for sale, we presume that it mast enjoy a monopoly in the market, to the exclusion of the imported article, 'ihe brandy and rum is also unquestionably good, while the superior style in which the liquor is bottled, deserves the highest commendation. We trust that the perseverance and energy which has brought 10 perfection so costly an undertaking, surmounted the difficulties which necessarily attend the establishment of a distillery, and expended'so large an amount of capital and labor, will meet with the support which it deserves.
