Star of the South, Captain Holmes, arrived in harbour on Thursday from Napier, via the Thames: She left Napier on Monday last, at 12.30 p.m.; rounded the East Capo at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, and arrived at the Thiunes at 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Experienced line weather throughout. Landed 50 head cattle and 340 slidep, and left again nt 2 p.m., arriving hero at 8.30 p.m. yesterday. Tlie Lord Ashley was passed off Mercury Bay at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The Star brings the following passengers :—Mr. Rosenthal, Mr. Russell, Miss Senior, and^ five in tbe steerage. The. racehorse Nebula; has also arrived hefe by the Star. * -
