RAGLAN-DESTRUCTION OF PRESBYTERIAN CHAPEL.
To-hii' is the first finfe' day W hate 'liiftrfor some time. The weather has been so bad that, although the Flora'1 managed to get into 'harbour on. Friday night, yet until to-day she has been unable to come "to the" wharf to discharge her cargo.—On Saturday morning the Presbyterian Chapel, built on thfr Hop ot the hill above the township, was totally levelled to the ground by the terrific force of tho' wind. It is a sad thing to see so nice and ornamental a building destroyed, although since its erection it has been of little use, and the Presbytery ought to give its remains to the-Wesloyan Chapel, for tbe purpose of lining or otherwise improving that place of worship.—Thp King is now irfKaWbia^andHheWti^s'' tlWfc 'Ire planting large quantities of wheat. I hear Tawhiao has made overall the laud at Kawhia to Hone'tedne. He peraapß ihinks if anything turns up the Government would not touch the land there" if Hone "to One is the .-.reputed owner of it. The latter Bhould got a 'transfer from His Majesty (if such thiugs existed in his dominions), as I am afraid it, will have to be returned when wanted.— [Correspondent, July -1-I.]]— —«
