The following appointments have been made by gazette of the 4th instant: —New Zealand Militia.—Lieut. H. H. Beetham to be Captain ;' Lieut. J. F. Maunsell to be Captain ; Lieut. A. Winks to bo Captain ; E. S. Maunsell lo be Lieutenant; F. A. Wlaitakor to be Lieutenant; Ensign W. Dorset to be Lieutenant ; C. E. Beetham to be Lieutenaut ; J. Partridge to bo Ensign ; H. H. Jackson to be Ensign. Thames Engineer Volunteers.— Lieut. H. T. Rowo to be Captain. Bay of Plenty Cavahy Volunteers. —J. Jb\ Connelly to be Cornet. The following resignations have been accepted : —Captain A. McCarroll, Hauraki Riflo Volunteers; Lieut. L. D. Nathan, Auckland Naval Volunteers; Ensign J. W. Marshall, New Zealand Militia; Ensign W. Burnett, New Zealand M;litia; Sub-Lieut. T. Whitson, Auckland Naval Volunteers ; Hon. Assistant Surgeon H. W. Watling, Auckland Naval Volunteers; The ssrvices of tho following coips have been accept: I: —Thames Engineer Volunteer Cadet Corps, Thames Riflo Rangers Volunteer Cadet Corps, Gisborno Riilo Volunteers, No. 2 Company Pukekohe Rifle Volunteers, No. 2 Company Waiuku Rifle Volunteers.
