My sales during this morning are as follows : —Dunedin Waterworks, £10 shares, guaranteed 8 per cent., at par ; Caledonian, £178; Thames, • £33 10s; Nonpareil, £4 7s 6d to £4 10s ; Otago, £3 2s 6d ; Poverty, £9 7s 6d ; Belfast, £7 ss. Demand for Otago at £3 ; Nonpareil, £4 10s.

The share market opened this morning with a continued downward tendency. Caledonians were offered at £170; Thames, £32 10s. In the afternoon there was a decided improvement. I hare sold Thames at £36 to £33 and £34, now held for £35 ; Otago, £3 5s ; Junction, £3 15s.

I have had a very unsteady market to-day. My sales comprise:—Caledonian, £178 to £180; Thames, £34 to £36 ; All Nations, £4 15s ; Nonpareil, £4 12s fid ; Una, 22s er div. Buyers for Thames at £34. -

I have to report a sudden decline in Caledonian and Thames shares. I have sold Caledonian at £180, £178, and £176 10s; Thames, £34 and £33; buyers of Otago, £3 ss; sellers Tookey, £35.
