ARRIVAL OF THE TARANAKI.

Wheeler, Esq., commander, arrived off the Manukau Heads at daylight, crossed the bar at 9.30 a.m., and made fast alongside the Oneliiinga Wharf at 11.SO n.in. to-day. Sho reports having left Lyttelton at 10.30 p.m. on the 17lh; arrived in Wellington at 3 p.m. on the 19th ; arrived at Nelson at 9 p.m. the same day; sailed at 9.20 a.m. on the 20th, and arrived as above, having experienced fine weather throughout the passage. Passengehs :—Dr. Bandwick, Master Seccombe, Capt. Johnson, Capt. Worsp, Mr. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Messrs. Mendelshon, Norton, Hares, Burton, J. Smith, Wat.s, Ooalsworth (2), Edmonds. We are indebted to Mr. Moss for late- files.
A barque, supposed to be the Australian, is signalled as we go to press. The s.B. Napier and Star of the South will leave for Napier, Poverty Bay on Thursday. The whaling barque Albion sailed from Russell yesterday for this port, with her original cargo of oil.
