Evening- Stab Office, Friday afternoon,

Messrs. Samuel Cochrane and Son held a sale to-day of furniture, saved* from the late fire. There was a good attendance, and the following prices were realised :—Handsome drawing-room suite, £25; inlaid walnut table, £4 5s ; remu side table, £2 2a 6d ; Grower and Baker's sewing machine, £11 10s ; carpets, 4s 6d to 6s per yard.
