Grahamstown, 1 p.m.';;', The Poverty and Charleston is still looking well. This morning some very rich specimens have been taken out of the new leader. - ■The Imperial Crown have, come across a large mullocky- reef at the bottom of the shaft. No gold has been seen at present, (but the reef has every appearance of obtaining gold.
The Caledonian is looking magnificent. During the last 24 hours, 35 hundredweight of specimens—some very rich—-have* been brought up. The stone taken out to-day is. better than that brought" up yesterday. Two of the blocks unearthed .this morning, weigh six hundredweight. There is at present about: four tons ready for the mill. Crushing has' been commenced, and on Saturday I expect about 12,000 ounces will be lodged. ..The North Devon have come across the Alburnia reef, and are taking out rich stone from the 190 feet level.
