An -inquest on Alexander G-rores's child, killed on Saturday evening on the Hape Creek tramway, was held this morning. The child was seven years of age. A verdict of accidental death was recorded.
A rider was attached blaming the lessee, for allowing young children to lide the horse.
The Wandering Star have crushed 14 tons, the result being 17 ozs. The Caledonian have taken but about sis cwt. of specimens this morning. They will, commence specimen crushing to-morrow.
Another landslip has occurred at the Shotover. . About 500 tons fell, but no damage done. The amalgam for this company is now being retorted —150 ounces is expected. Poverty and Charleston have taken out a nice parcel of specimens this morning. They are now crushing, and will clean up to-morrow. The Morning Star have lodged 60 ounces.
