POLIOS COURT.—Wednesday,

Deunkenitess.—Jessie Bell, for a second offence, was find 10s. and costs, or to be imprisoned 48 hours, with hard labor.
"Vagrancy.—W. Robey, for having no lawful visible means of support, was imprisoned for 7 days. I Assault!— James Tyler, being called, did not appear to answer the charge of having assaulted his wife Janet Tyler, who being also absent, the cose was dismissed.
. Abusive Language.—Thomas Craig was charged by J. 0. JVlacOormick with having used towards him abusive language in a pub-> lie place on the 30 th May. Mr. Brookfleld appeared for the prosecution.—Mr. Wynn, for the defence, pleaded, guilty for the defendant, who apologised, and promised to not offend again. The apology was accepted, defendant paying costs.—Another charge, of having used provoking and insulting language, was settled in the same manner. ->' -. i»
Disobeying a Summons.—Wl; Blackburn was charged with having disobeyed a siiramons issued by the Papakura Bench. No complainant appearing, the case was dismissed;
