We understand that the Mayor of Auckland (P. A. Philips, Esq.) will give a dinner in a few days to inaugurate the bringing into operation the uevy Corporation Bill. Most of our public men will receive invitations, ancUhere will no doubt be a good deal of talking as to the advantages that will accrue to the city now that we have a corporation.
