The usual weekly parade of the Auckland Rifle Volunteers was held on Thursday, at the Drill-shed. There was a -very good attendance, and the usual evolutions were creditably gone through. A meeting of No. 1 Company A.E..Y. was held after the inspection on Wednesday, when a rifle club in connection with the company was organised, with the following gentlemen as office-bearers :—Captain Howell, President; Lieutenant Burns, Vice-President; C. W. Bull, Secretary ; and Messrs. Wilson, Morgan, Lorigan, Smyth, Greaves, and Smith, as members of the committee. Tenders are required for the supply of 60 suits of uniforms for the Otahuhu Rifle Volunteers.
