We regret to see that the drama in Auckland has lost one of its brightest ornaments, the death of Mrs. Harry Jackson being announced in another column. The deceased lady, since her arrival in Auckland, had won for herself a great popularity, from the pleasing, natural, and at times fascinating style of her impersonations, and her death will be greatly regretted by all admirers of the drama in this city, and wherever else her delineations of human character have been known. As will bo seen, tho Theatre Royal has for to-night suspended its performances in respect for the memory of the dead. *- The Revising Officer, L. O'Brien, Esq., was engaged yesterday with the revision of the electoral rolls for the City East and City West. V. will meet at the Drill-shed this evening, to practise for tho parade to be held tomorrow. _ The anniversary tea meeting in connection with the Grafton Road Wesleyan Sunday School will be held to-morrow evening. Charles Tothill makes application to register the Nevada Cold Mining Company. A meeting of the creditors of G-eorge Strong is fixed for noon to-day, at the Suoremo Court. ' ■ *" P. A. Philips, Esq., Mayor, gives notice that the office of the Borough of Auckland wiu remain at Canada Buildings, at the old office of the late City Board, until further notice. . A meeting of {[creditors in the estate of Richard Kelly, settler, was held yesterday in the office of the Provisional Trustee, itv. Thomas Macffarlaue was appointed trustee, Capt. James Walmsley and A. T. Stewart, were appointed supervisors. Liabilities, £429 3s. 6d.; assets (nominal), £201 15s. •
