Mails will close as under :— For Thames, this day, at 5.30 a.m. For Taranaki and Wanganui, per s.s. Ahuriri, this day, at 5 p.m. For Fiji, per Sea Gull, this day, at 5 p.m. For Russell, per p.s. Challenger, this day, at 4 p.m. For Kapanga, &c, per Lallaßookh, on Thursday, 25th inst., at 11 a.m. For Napier and the Southern Provinces, per s.s. Wellington, on Thursday, 25th inst., at 1 p.m. Late letters and telegrams for transmission from the Napier Station will be received at this office till 1.30 p.m. For Newcastle, N.S.W., per Janet Dalgleish, -on Saturday, at 9 a.m. Note.—lt is notified for public information that Wednesday, 24th inst., being a. public holiday, the country mails usually made up at this office on that day will be closed this evening, at 7 p.m. S.
