FRIDAY, MAY 19.
(Before His Honor Sir G-eorge Arney, Knight, Chief Justice.) Re Thomas Milne Machattie. -This was an application for an order to bring into Court the accounts ia the above estate. This estste has been the subject of various proceedings in bankruptcy extending over several years, and one or two common law actions have arisen out of claims made by the bankrup or the trustee of the estate, as for instance the right to a sum of money given by Mr. Thomas Henderson, sen., which was contested at the Civil Sittings of the Circuit Court, nearly two years ago. The bankrupt was a member of the firm trading as Macfarlane and Co., and the accounts referred to were tho3e of the partnership, and extreme]v complicated. Several motions had been niadr on behalf of the bankrupt to expedite the completion of accounts, which arc made up, with the exception of one or two items, in rejpecL of which the bankrupt disputes the allegations of the debtors to the estate.—Affi davits were re;id, setting out the proceedings which had been taken, and the matter wL referred to the Provisional Trustee.
