THE GOLDEN CROWN CRUSHING. THE CALEDONIAN CRUSHING. EUREKA SPECIMENS EXHIBITED.. THE CENTRAL ITALY.
THE SOIREE.
G-rahamstown, 2.30 p.m. The G-olden Crown have crushed 100 tons during the week, which has given 132 ounces gold. The Caledonian have lodged 1066 i ounces melted gold, the result of the fortnight's crushing. The Manukau crushing of 80 tons gave 170 ounces. The Eureka specimens have been taken to town for exhibition. There is nothing remarkable about them. There is great indignation here at the conduct of the Central Italy jumpers. At the Mechanics' Institute soiree last evening £10,000 worth of gold Avas exhibited. Very little doing in the share market. Belfast, Kelly, Poverty and Charleston, enquired for at advanced rates. Other stock declining. 3 p.m. The Eureka have got gold in the reef at the low level; good show. The Twenty-third of June have crushed 100 ]bs. of stone which has given 60 ozs. gold. . .:
