Grahamstown, 2 p.m. The Caledonian have cleaned up for the week, the total amount lodged being 13,576 ozs. The Cure is still showing specimens. Manipulators have been at work keeping down prices for th e last two days. When certain works have been done, there must be a rise in spite of the attempts of speculators to keep down ' prices for their own purposes. The Alburnia have crushed 50 tons, which have given a yield of 52 ozs. The Ladybird have obtained 79 ozs. for the fortnight. A man named Tims died suddenly at Tararu last night. He was the worse for drink, and it is supposed he was choked. An inquest is being held to-day. The. Moanatairi Union have another parcel of specimens, making 150 lbs. in hand. — + - ■—
