Apeii. 25.—Stewart, a Customs locker, whose foot was injured a month since by an accident in the Universal Bond, died yesterday from the effects of the accident.—Barber, the Kyeburn mail contractor, was thrown out of his cart on Saturday, and killod instantaneously.—Chaplin, coach proprietor, has filed a deed of arrangement with his creditors. The alleged cause is undue pressure on the part of the Bank of New Zealand.—A match between the Duuedin and London artillery came off on Saturday. Our ten men averaged 53.—A portion of the •wveck of a large ship has come ashore on'the beach of Green Island. It has been visited by tho police, but they have been unable to find any signs by which to identify the vessel.
