WELCOME TO THE NEVADA. A meeting of the committee charged with getting up the arrangements for a complimentary luncheon to the captain and officers of the Nevada, was held yesterday afternoon at the office of Messrs. Henderson and Macffarlane. There were about a dozen members present, , and matters were satisfactorily arranged. The joint tender of Messrs. Hall and Gray was accepted, and a subcommittee was appointed to select the wines. The secretary was instructed to invite his Excellency and suite, the Anglican and Catholic Bishops, and certain others. The luncheon is to take place at one o'clock on the day succeeding the arrival of the steamer, and is to be in the hall of the JNcw Zealand Insurance Company's buildings, kindly lent for the occasion by the directors. Hia Excellency is expected to preside, on the occasion. The celebration of welcome is to be an undress affair, and we are confident will be cordially carried out in all particulars.
