PETTY SESSIONS.—Tuesday.

[Present: Messrs. J. O'Neill, Esq., Chairman ; K. F, Porter, T. Ritchie, and A. K. Taylor, Esq., Justices.]

DhunkeNxYKSS.—Anthony Cohen, Mary Carniichucl, and Eliza Eice were punished in the usual manner for this offence.

Municipal Police Act. —The following persons were fined for offences against this Act: Mr. Mitchell, for having his vehicle unattended, was fined Is. and costs j Mr. P. Donovan, for leaving an excavation in Durhamstreet unlighted, 10s, and costs; E. Nolan, for allowing a goat to wander, Is. and costs ; C. Barnes, for same offence, Is. and costs ; J. Rice, for leaving a dead animal abutting on Beresford street, Is. and costs ; \V. Cost'ello, for allowing a cow to wander, 2s. Gd. and costs ; T. G-. Walker, for allowing his chimney to go on lire, ss. and costs; J. Ilatley, for allowing a goat to wander, Is. and costs ; It. Walsh, for similar offence, Is. and costs ; T. Sempkin, for driving a dray without a name, Is. and cosls.

Impounding- Act.—For allowing cattle to stray, VV. Irvine, K. Putman, W. 11. Haslifct, E. M. Ghirveigh, Jffi. J. King, J. "F. Russell, C. Wood, and W. Pribblo were fined each 2s. 6d. and costs.

Licensing- Act.—Jolm Adams, for not having a lamp burning at night, over the door of his hotel, the Carpenters' Arms, was fined 5s and ooata ; and VV. Adams, for a similar offence, was fined 5s and coats ; and for not having shut his hotel at the proper hour, was fined 20d and costs.

Doo Nuisance Act.—A charge against Alfred Basset, of having allowed a dog without a ticket to go abroad in Ed-tfardes-streefc, was dismissed ; und one against Michael Egan, for a similar olFenco, was withdrawn.

Tbansvkr op License.—The license of the Duke of Marl borough Hotel was transferred from Mr. llorn to Mr. Palmer.
