AUCKLAND POST-OFFICE.
Dueing. the quarter ended 31sfc March, 1871, the following transactions have taken place in the rost-of_.ee: Money Order and Savings Bank Departments in this province—l 226 money orders have been issued for £5388 6s 2d, the commission on these orders amounting to £84 13s 6d; 1109 money orders have been paid, amounting to £4923 17s Id. During the same period, 1069 Savings Bank deposits, amounting to £11,531165, have been received, including 210. new accounts opened ; 806 withdrawals were made, amounting to £12,423 13s 8d - and £14 19s 6d was paid as interest on closed accounts.
